My First Personal Shopper Experience!

A week ago I was reading one of my favorite bloggers, Erin, from Living in Yellow. She was sharing her Stitch Fix box and asking everyone for their opinion! Well, I'm totally borrowing her idea and asking you the same thing!!

I received my first box from Stitch Fix this weekend! Wondering what I'm talking about? Well, Stitch Fix is a company you can hire to be your personal shopper! The best part is you don't have to be a millionaire to sign up! Each month you receive 5 articles of clothing or jewelry based on what you have preferenced as your style and costs. Seriously, how cool is this! Once you receive your box, you get 3 days to try on all the items and decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back. Each item included suggestions on how to pair it with accessories. There is no charge for sending back anything!  That's the basics, let me know if you have any questions!

I had anxiously been waiting to see what my stylist prepared for me! I think she did a great job!  Now, like Erin, I would love your opinion!! Please help me decide what I should get!

1// Olive & Oak- Dafne Chevron Maxi Dress.
I have to admit, I have never worn or tried on a Maxi Dress before. This is totally outside my comfort zone BUT I was shocked by how much I liked it! I'm glad this dress was in my box because one of the reasons I signed up for Stitch Fix was to help me explore new fashion trends and branch out. Honestly, I think I've always avoided full-length dresses because of my height. I'm only 5'2 and try to do as much in my power to not show it.

2// Evolution by Cyrus- Colorblock Cardigan.
I am so glad I decided to not eliminate orange from my style survey! I was so close too! My 'style card' suggested putting on a lighter pair of boyfriend jeans with this sweater. I am glad I used her suggestion because I love how it looks! My only concern is the cost. This cardigan was a little more than what I had requested.

3// 41 Hawthorn- V-Neck Blouse.
If you follow my style posts on here, you may have noticed I have a thing for baggy blouses! I love the color of this blouse. Overall, it is a bit too big and wished it might have had a little more 'sparkle' to it.

4// Chris and Carol- Page Dolman Chiffon Dotted Blouse.
I really like the color of this blouse too.  I wished I had a good pencil skirt to show off with this shirt.  I think this shirt was a little to baggy too but the sweater seemed to be able to cover that up.

5// Geranium- Lacework Bar Short Necklace.
Absolutely love this necklace! I love how it would go with so many different outfits. I have an obsession with long dangling necklaces so I like that this necklace is different. I don't think I own anything like this.

YAY for personal shoppers! Seriously, it was like Christmas this weekend but now I get to have it every month! I was really impressed with what she chose. If you happen to check out their website, you will see just how in depth they are! They really do seem to make every effort to find what is right for you. For my next package, I think i'm going to go one size smaller and ask for a little more flare in their choices. I can't wait!

I'd love for you to help me decide on what I should get! Please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions below! I love reading what you all have to say and really to appreciate your opinions! I will let you know what I end up deciding too!

  3. This is such an interesting concept. If the cardigan is expensive, I'd say it isn't worth it. The green blouse totally suits you though and I love the maxi dress!

  14. I know you said it's a little more than what you wanted to spend, but I LOVE that color-block cardigan and the pop of orange. I'm also a fan of the coral colored shirt, I'm totally loving coral right now and it looks great on you.
